Long Island's original and most visited fall event, featuring The World's Longest Jack O'Lantern Trail, returns for our 12th season in 2025!
This year, our trail will be more stocked than ever before! We'll have over 10,000 illuminated objects including 7,000 hand-carved jack o'lanterns, 3,000 specialty lanterns, and hundreds of family-friendly Halloween-themed visual displays to bring out the magic of the season on Long Island!
Our NEW Long Island Venue, Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts in Melville!
We're excited to be back for another year at our new Long Island venue with our partners at Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts in Melville, located a mere stones throw from the Nassau/Suffolk border. We've done trails in a dozen locations around the country and Usdan's sprawling campus is by far the prettiest and most perfect setting to host the world's most intriguing jack o'lantern experience.

2025 will be a don't miss year! In addition to the fan-favorite classics we plan to bring back, we'll also be carving up over 80 brand new never-before-seen elaborate multi-jack o'lantern displays! The RISE features more new themes and elements each year than any other similar event. It's no wonder why RISE visitors return year after year to see all of our new creations.

Back by popular demand will be our 100+ pound Pennsylvania and New York-grown prizewinner pumpkins, all hand-painted, hand-carved, and hand-gutted on-site by our talented art pumpkin team. Way better than I expected. The trail is long without dragging, and even on Saturday it never felt completely packed. The pumpkin carvings are insane. My kids are STILL talking about it 3 days later which is an eternity for them.

This has become one of those things we just do every fall now. The kids start asking about it in the summer.
This year they were obsessed with the giant singers. They have to be like 20 feet tall. Pretty cool.
Easy parking, nice people, no complaints.

Randomly went after work with some coworkers, kind of expensive but we had funn, cool to see all the carved pumpkins and had that spooky halloween vibe, all good

Wasn't sure the extra ticket was worth paying for. It actually is. The little key thing that lets you activate parts of the trail is actually pretty fun, and the maze was much better than I expected. We spent around an hour and a half going through everything so pretty good for what they charge I think

Wife and I have been looking for something Halloween related that wouldn't terrify the kids and found this one. Really great. Trees everywhere, dark paths, pumpkins all over. Great atmosphere without trying too hard. We went Thursday around 8 and it wasn't crazy busy. Some of the pumpkins are absolutely enormous. Kids loved it.

I wanted to like this more but I just didn't. We drove for over an hour and were basically done in about 30 minutes. That's a lot of money for 4 people for more driving then seeing.
A lot of the carvings were impressive but a lot felt bland. A few looked like plastic. And it was just too crowded. People everywhere, bumping into you whenever you stopped to actually look at something.
My kids had fun for a while, but even they were ready to leave by the end. My oldest asked why we drove so far for it and I didn't have an answer.

My wife and I have done RISE several times and this Usdan setup is easily the best. Something about being under all the trees makes the whole thing work better. It felt bigger this year too.
HUGE pumpkins. I mean GIGANTIC.
Always go later. Lots of crowds and kids earlier in the night. Quieter and more time to just stroll later.

I've gone a few times now and they keep adding things. This year had a bunch of new stuff, which was nice. My daughter loved the 3D glasses. The discount tickets sell out really fast so you have to jump on those. Kind of expensive without it.

I went with my fam 10/1/22--this was my first time going to a Rise event, so if you're an old hand at these you might feel differently, but I thought it was really good! there were plenty of characters in pumpkin form I didn't expect to see, and probably needless to say the work the carvers and lighters have done is really really impressive. plenty of places to sit for the disabled, elderly, or tired, and lots of the single pumpkins (so ones that weren't part of a big multi-pumpkin display) are also really cute and worth looking at! take your time and take lots of pics
