Maine Maid Inn - Real Haunted Place
- 4 Old Jericho Turnpike
- Jericho, NY
The Maine Maid Inn dates back to the end of the 18th century and was once a key site in the Underground Railroad. During the 1950’s it was converted to an inn and eatery popular for banquets and large gatherings; it remained as such until closing in 2009. Footsteps, banging sounds, and strange voices have been heard in the inn, and some visitors have even reported seeing apparitions inside and around the inn.
Maine Maid Inn
I literally work in an office right behind the Maine Maid Inn, and I believe it's haunted. Every time I walk outside our office door, I hear a cat like it's crying for help, but when I go to look just around the wall where I hear this cat, there's nothing. Twice this has happened to me. The Inn is currently undergoing renovations. Posted 8/17/15
