Terror Awaits this Halloween Season at the All New Haunt: Nightmare on Scouting Blvd. in Medford

LIHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Bobby Rabbitt of Nightmare on Scouting Blvd., to discuss what's happening at the brand new attraction for the 2019 Halloween Season!

What's new at Nightmare on Scouting Blvd. for 2019? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We are all new for 2019. We've had a vacant warehouse space at our office for many years now and finally we are utilizing it to help raise funds for our programs.

What are you most excited about for the 2019 Halloween Season?

I'm excited to see if we've come up with a good attraction . There are so many haunted attractions out there now it's tough to compete, but hopefully we've come up with a good mix of scares and fun to please everyone.

What differentiates Nightmare on Scouting Blvd. from other local haunts in Long Island?

We'll have to wait and see what our customers say!

How long has Nightmare on Scouting Blvd. been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Nightmare on Scouting Blvd.'s history?

This is our first year and we're excited to see how it goes.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

As I mentioned before, we've had a large vacant warehouse space in the other part of our office building. I'm also the creator and director of the Yaphank Trail of Terror so when we were thinking of new fundraisers to help the Scouts of Suffolk County it seemed like a good idea to try to create an indoor haunted attraction.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Nightmare on Scouting Blvd.?

We won't be using much technology, but more relying on psychological fear than physical fear.

Can Nightmare on Scouting Blvd. accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Nightmare on Scouting Blvd. together as a group?

Due to the nature of our layout, we can only send groups of 2-4 through at one time. Larger groups will be split up.

Anything else you'd like to let us know about Nightmare on Scouting Blvd.?

This is run by the Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America as a fundraiser for our programs. We appreciate all the support.
