D.S. Shanahan’s, a popular “hole in the wall” bar which sits adjacent to the legendary Kings Park Psychiatric Center, has been serving residents food and beverages since its inception in 2000. The bar and grill also seems to have as much paranormal activity as the adjoining abandoned psych center, as patrons and employees alike have reported seeing the apparition of a lady who disappears after being approached.
Some have seen the woman sitting at the bar, and one employee saw her standing the hallway. The woman’s identity is unknown, though there is some speculation that the building was once a brothel and she was one of the women who worked there.

Years ago, a friend and I decided to drive down old docks road at 2AM and park by a bench that sat by the water. When we got out of the car, I heard a faint little girls laugh, a sinister laugh. It's cliche to hear a little girl ghost and even see one, but I know demons otray themselves as children to lure people. I asked my friend "wait...did you hear that?" My friend said "yeah..." after he responded I heard the sinister giggle again, and that's when I said "Lets get the fuck out of here." We ran back in the car and drove off. I wouldn't recommend anyone walk along this road late at night. Whatever spirits lie there are not friendly, and certainly disguisd themselves as something they are not.
