Before all of the buildings had been demolished, a 19-year-old boy was drinking and exploring the still-standing power plant. He fell down a 50-foot shaft and died.
Visitors have reported hearing screams in the forest when no one was around, as well as misty figures that appear and quickly vanish. Some even say that when you stand in the spot that once bore Building 102, the campus’ tallest construction, you can feel a cold wind blow right through you.

Share Your Experiencesit was a powerful place
i developed a fascination with exploring the place, during the day...but always had a bright flashlight, a spare small light... we went through the tunnels to get to the power station... i went inside the huge duct that went to the tall stack, there were dunes of ash, between where the gasses were flowing out of the burners... i looked up but did not climb the sketchy ladder that went to the top. the tunnels had scary drains, dark drywells some with the covers off, it was a helluva scary place, but i never went without enough beers to overcome the anxiety and block out what actually happened there... despite that, it left a permanent place in my mind, with vivid memories like snapshots... because the drinking... lol and had many abstract dreams of being there as a renovated residence, like apartments... ?????? imagine... living at Edgewood... but i think of it often for and enjoy riding my mountain bike at the park still...but don't drink anymore... and have pics on my phone of an open tunnel entrance along a busy bike trail, that chills my spine and crawls my skin when i pass it... and I won't go down there with a hundred flashlights...
